I would add to Most Deserving - Tilda Swinton. I was so glad to see this non-mainstream, often under rated wonderful actress receive her reward for what I thought was an amazing and true to life performance.
While I agree that Javier Bardem deserves the award for his performance as the psycho-killer with the "I won't get laid during the shooting of this film" bad haircut, I really wish there was some kind of runner up award for Tom Wilkinson. His rambling monologue that opened Michael Clayton and then repeated in the film was the best delivery of some of the best writing in the movies this year. It truly was on par with the other film which has what IMHO is the best dialogue ever, Network.
I also concur with your dressing critiques. Rebecca Miller's was the worst. I would add regarding Jennifer Hudson, that it looked like she stole the costume of one of Elizabeth Taylor's handmaidens in Cleopatra, definitely not flattering to her figure and it makes her look like she has flabby "old lady" under arms. I also agree that Helen Miren on the Red Carpet in red was not a good look, but she looked fabulous when presenting the award for Best Actor.

I didn't get to watch the oscars cuz i was writing my gd diss. but, i wanted to add that i love marion cotillard too - but what was with that dress? I'm sorry, but it was like she was a glittery mermaid.
She definitely deserved that oscar though.
Javier Bardem is a class act and a handsome cutey - bringing his mom. I loved his performance in NCFOM, but, is it just me, didn't his acting seem kind of canned and monotone? I mean he nailed what emotions he DID show, but all he had to was play that monotone pschyo grunting man the whole time?
